  1. Jesus Christ how did Joe get Roger Penrose on here. I was just learning how to do Penrose Diagrams, this is the mfer that helped invent them. Why the hell isn't that in the title.

  2. I wasn't aware anyone thought that people derived their beliefs after allowing their brains to perform some mathematical algorithm. Why does Penrose spend this entire video saying he doesn't believe we use algorithms? In people, deciding what to believe is and always has just been a conscious decision – a choice. We don't let our brain's subconscious crank through some algorithm and come back to us with an answer.

  3. The problem with British people which I noticed it in their parliament too is that they talk whole a lot of nonsense instead of giving a short sufficient explanation and going directly to the point, they bore the duck out of people

  4. I can't believe I listened to that whole thing waiting for something that never came.

Everyone has value. Everyone's story is important. (Repeating to myself in my head)

  5. I love Roger, but come on man. His chosen hair style really gives credence to the belief there are many types of intelligence, and just being mathematically intelligent doesn't make you intelligent in general. Who decides a comb over is great idea? Go natural man! Then again, having great hair doesn't make you intelligent either, just fashionably intelligent. lol. Just funny how we throw around that word. Should be "He/She is intelligent with _______________." That is a big reason I disliked Hawking always giving his opinion on philosophical issues, and people hanging on his every word. Dude was mathematically intelligent, and comments he made outside of that usually seemed knee-jerky. Where Einstein was so above everyone then and now, is that he had multiple forms of intelligence which most scientists today don't have. And… great hair to boot! lol.
